Dawn Roe: Goldfields is a work prompted by the history and landscape of the eponymous region of Victoria, Australia. The three-channel video installation is a critical consideration of cultural memory in relation to the opposing perspectives of indigenous and colonial settler narratives, pastoral landscape representations, folklore and myth.
The three-channel video was displayed in the Grey Box media space.
Dawn Roe, an artist and educator, produces work that involves the singular and combined use of still photographs and digital video and is concerned with themes of perception, time and memory.
