University of Oregon’s White Box visual laboratory presents about desire, curated by Meagan Atiyeh. The exhibition brings together paintings, sculpture, video, photography and mixed media works.

This exhibition featured images dating from 1966 to 1975. Through Hickman's black and white photographs, a viewer experiences the spirit of an evolving creative community in Portland against the backdrop of nationwide political change, while witnessing Hickman's evolution as a fine art photographer.

Ruf•fle brought together the practices of thirteen Portland-based women working across the art and design spectrum. The group was created to help facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogue and crique, and the Ruf•fle exhibition was one manifestation of those conversations.

Goldfields is a work prompted by the history and landscape of the eponymous region of Victoria, Australia. The three-channel video installation is a critical consideration of cultural memory in relation to the opposing perspectives of indigenous and colonial settler narratives, pastoral landscape representations, folklore and myth.

An investigation into the inherent complexity of six people uniting to create a whole, while maintaining their unique voices. This show demonstrated a shared interest in the conversation of materials into form and meaning-creating a whole from disparate parts.

Claudia Meza presented Water, an interactive sound installation and series of video screening. Water, a collection of hanging Califone cassette players, facilitated the exploration of the resonant and sculptural qualities of sounds and thier sources.

The artists used the White Box to develop new relationships with old concepts, explore process, and showcase new and experimental works. To encourage pop-up like improvisation, each artist occupied the White Box for one day to present preformances, recontextualize work, and hold artist talks and workshops.
